About the name "Morphlings"

On this page, I would like to inform you why I chose the name "Morphlings".

Originally, I thought of a butterfly for my logo, as I really like butterflies and find them very sweet and fitting in relation to babies. Therefore, I looked for a name that is related to butterflies. During this creative process, my sister and I had the thought that butterflies undergo a transformation called metamorphosis. And our reborn babies also undergo a true transformation from a lifeless, unremarkable blank to a detailed work of art. Therefore, it was clear to us that the name for my nursery should have something to do with metamorphosis. However, metamorphosis is very long and doesn't sound really nice for reborn babies. During further considerations, we then came up with the name Morphlings. Thus, the name was set!

Next, we moved on to the logo. Here, the theme "from caterpillar to butterfly" should be clearly expressed. Since my sister is very creative in this regard, I left the logo design entirely up to her.

The very first draft was almost perfect.

However, I was bothered by the oddly placed eye. At first, I wondered what that spot was supposed to be. A tear? So my sister revised the logo again. The final logo was quickly found.

Like the name, this logo also has its very special meaning. It is a stylised embryo, which simultaneously represents a butterfly. The circle in the background symbolises the womb and the inscription "Morphlings" represents the placenta.

I think this is a very successful logo!
